PASTOR PATRICK ASEKOME SERMON ON THANKSGIVINGOF AMAZING MIRACLES.

MESSAGE FOR 2/11/2014
FROM THE PULPIT: THANKSGIVING OF AMAZING MIRACLES
Amazing miracle is something of astonishment; it is an extraordinary event that can take place through divine intervention.
The first amazing miracle in the history of mankind was the miracle that took place at the beginning of creation of the earth. When God commanded the earth to bring forth non-existing things and all came into existence.
v How Can We Provoke Amazing Miracles?
We can provoke amazing miracles through the power of the spoken Word of God. Romans 4:17C says that God is the God who calls things that are not as though they were. Psalm 33:6A says that by the Word of the Lord were the heavens made and in Psalm 33:9 the bible records that when God spoke, it was done and when He commanded, it stood fast.
Do you want to experience an amazing miracle this week? You have to do it by provoking the expected miracle of your desire by the Word of God (Matthew 21:22). God said to Isaiah in Isaiah 51:16A I have put my Words in thy mouth. The same God said to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1: 9 that He had put His Words in his mouth after God touched the mouth of Jeremiah with His hands. You do not wait until God touches your mouth. God has made provision for you to read His word and meditate on it (Joshua 1:8)
As if that is not enough for our understanding, it has been confirmed in Romans 10:8 that the word of God is near us; it is even in our mouth and also in our heart. The bible calls the Word of God, the Word of faith. In other words, before you can provoke an amazing miracle, you must meditate on the word in your heart and release it into a spoken word by faith while expecting the manifestation of the miracles.
In the book of Acts 3:1-6, Peter and John were on their way to the temple when they met a certain lame man; lame from His mother’s womb begging for alms at the gate of the temple. These two men (Peter and John) stood by faith and fastened their eyes upon him and said look on us. This was done in order to join the faith of the lame man with their faith. Peter now said to this man, silver and gold have I none but such as I have I give thee. Peter commanded him to rise up and walk in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and at the command of the word from the mouth of peter; empowered in the name of Jesus Christ, he took the man’s right hand and lifted him up by faith and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength and the man stood up leaping and walked into the temple praising God.  What an amazing miracle provoked by the spoken Word of God. It is worth giving thanks today for the expectation of your amazing miracles.
The only reason that will make it not happen is if your name is not written in the book of life. Jesus is the Word of God that you can call to empower the word from your mouth.
But how can He answer you if you have not accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. Accept Him today and experience the difference. Remain Blessed.
